All new drivers in the state of Colorado will need a driver permit (regardless of age). If you are in need of the "written" permit test, we will need either a State of Colorado ID or a pre registration code from the DMV. To pre register follow the link. Once you click on the link, go to Driver services then apply for license/ID. Then bring the confirmation code to our office with you. You do not need an appointment at our Glenwood Springs office if you come during business hours - Monday,Wed,Thurs and Friday between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM and 1 to 3:00 PM. Gypsum is walk in most Wednesdays from 10 to 4 please call to confirm the office will be open (for Gypsum questions please email inandoutgypsum@gmail.com). Silt is most Friday from 12 to 1 please call to confirm we are open the day you want to come in.

Once you have your pre registration code you can take the permit test. We have a link below for the study guide. If you feel you want some classroom education you may also look into our Driver awareness class. Once you pass the permit test you will need to go to the DMV to get your permit.
